Weak NTFS Permissions

Description¶

NTFS permissions are used to manage access to the files and folders that are stored in NTFS file systems. NTFS permissions are used in conjunction with share permissions to provide the most granular levels of security.

Impact¶

Improperly configured NTFS permissions may allow unauthorized users access to restricted or sensitive information.
