Upgrade to Free Trial
A NodeZero account becomes Read-Only when enters a restricted state. In this state, users can view data but cannot take action like running pentests or verifying remediation.
Why you might need to upgrade
-
Initial Temporary Account
- Some users start with a limited-access temporary account.
- These accounts allow browsing the UI but restrict active pentesting.
-
Demo or Evaluation Mode Expired
- If an account was created under a demo or evaluation license, it may expire.
- Once expired, the account enters Read-Only mode until upgraded.
-
Limited Guest Access
- Some users receive guest or shared access to a NodeZero environment.
- They can view reports but cannot launch or manage tests.
-
License or Subscription Expiration
- If an organization's subscription lapses, all associated accounts may switch to Read-Only mode.
- This prevents running new operations until the subscription is renewed.
How to upgrade
You can upgrade your account to a 30 day free trial at any time.
- To upgrade, you must fill out the company information form and provide a valid company email.
- A contact list, also known as a distribution group (i.e. admin@company-domain.com) is not permitted.
1. Locate the form
Locate and click the "Complete Sign Up" button at the top right of the page.
2. Submit the form
Fill out the required fields. The email must be a valid company email address (distribution lists emails are not permitted). If you do not provide a company email, you will receive an error and not be granted a free trial. The email can be the same as the one used to create the account, if a company email was used.
3. Submit validation token
A validation token will be sent to the email provided in the form from NodeZero. Ensure to check your spam folder.
4. Confirm access level
Once you have verified your account, you will be granted a free trial. A banner will be displayed stating your account is now a free trial and the time left in the trial. Once your 30 day free trial is over, you will be placed back into read-only mode. You can only verify a company email for a free trial once.
